Vegan Baby Led Weaning: *Breakfast*

Chia pudding (made for the first time) with dried cranberries, banana and cinnamon (the banana was for decor mostly, he rarely eats it in this form)

The floor loved it!!! We didn't...and it was sooo messy that I decided to never make it again!
Waffle with molasses and orange-broccoli-cabbage juice (not pictured)
 Apples, rusk with tahini and spanakopita (greek spinach pie)
Toast with my amazing almond-coconut butter and almond milk (not shown)
Dried cranberries, rusk with tahini and kiwis
Quinoa porridge with blueberries and coconut shreds in coconut milk
Smoothie with mango, pear, banana, hemp protein, spinach and probiotics
Pancakes with tahini and toasted coconut with some goji berries
I haven't done much blw posts lately. It's because two forces crash inside me.  My son is not a baby anymore. He has passed to another level with eating too. It's not like he's the best eater and no 'problems' occur, but I'm not that much into blw. At least not as I was a few months ago. On the other hand I love everything that has to do with food and especially with what my kid eats. Also, I feel experienced enough on vegan baby led weaning and I'd love to share my 'knowledge' with those who are interested. There's lack of information out there, right? I mean, I wish there was a blog full with info and inspiration when I started...

  1. All of the food looks soo yummy! I am curious about BLW. What exactly is the theroy behind it and how is it done? I think that we partake in BLW, but I am not entirely sure. Amar'e is still nursing on demand, but mostly to go to sleep for naps and at night. Other than that she eats lot of yummy vegan food. Does this sound like BLW? :)

    1. The title is a little misleading. It's not about weaning actually. It's a method about introducing solids at the baby's pace. Food is being offered to the baby whole and not pureed. The baby has to feed himself and this way he learns about food (well, you have to tell him what food is what)and becomes a skilled eater. My son drinks himself from a cup since he was 10 mo (no sippy cup), but still makes a big mess if he wants to. It's supposed to help kids eat healthier, but I'm pretty sure this has to do with the parent mostly.
