Vegan Baby Led Weaning: Breakfast

Today I'm gonna share with you some of the totally tasty and healthy vegan baby led weaning style breakfasts my baby (and I) had so far. I hope to inspire you and motivate you to give fresh, homemade and wholesome foods to your babies. They deserve it!

Tahini-coconut crepe with figs
That mess was quinoa porridge with cinnamon and bananas (the little foot had some too)
Pancake with fruit spread (fig) & freshly juiced oranges
Avocado toast
"Don't you understand that I don't want this stupid rice cake?...Smoothie will be fine!"
Oat porridge with cinnamon. boiled in homemade almond milk
Rice cakes with molasses & kiwi
Blueberry smoothie
Waffle with tahini and shredded coconut & apples with flaxseed

Green smoothie...hey, don't judge me! I wanted to let him experiment with drinking on his own from a cup...the little whiskey shot had the perfect size!
These are actually a couple of months ago. A little bit after that, when he got sick, he begun showing no interest in breakfast for some reason. I didn't force him. I would offer something everyday and if he'd had some it would be fine, if not well it would be fine too. All this no-breakfast time, to keep my sanity, I used to offer kind of easy meals like bread, rice cakes or smoothies (I always have a smoothie in the morning which I share with him). Having to prepare something very special everyday for about two months for him without even touching it would have killed me. So I don't feel guilty for not offering much variety at that time. I mean 99% of the times he wouldn't want to eat. Finally his apettite has returned! He has been asking for mam (food in his language) pretty much all day long.

    He couldn't get any more adorable!

    My little one will eat oatmeal or cereal, toast, or a combo of toast and fruit. I am at work when she gets up and eats, so I only get to do breakfast with her on the weekends.

    As for me, my favorite breakfast is what we had for dinner the night before. I love it!

  4. You have to share some recipes!! That coconut crepe sounds delicious, I'd love to try it, and the waffle looks so good. Argh, so hungry now!
