I know I made this blog shedule a while back and it was going fine but then my life changed again and I'm not sure what's going next and blah blah...what I want to say is that even though many things changed, including my blog shedule, my baby-led weaning Monday posts are still there. This is because they combine my two biggest obsessions: my son & food!
This post is sort of different from the others. It has to do with my eating habits which indirectly affect my son.
As you probably know, Nereus and I are vegans for many reasons and one of them is health. Since I had my son, I only want to be better and as long as I know that I am his first (and probably the most crucial) example, I try to do what I want him to do.
A few months ago, a little bit before he started solids, I made the most serious attempt to be a vegan. The last years I've been switching form vegan to meat eater and from meat eater to vegan. But I always knew that my children HAD to be vegan. So, when his nutrition became an every day worry for me, I knew I had to change something in my own way of eating.
Along with veganism, I decided to stop adding extra salt in my food. I did that because I wanted to share my meals with my son and I didn't want him to be addicted in salty foods from such a young age. At first it wasn't easy, but after a while I was eating salt free food with no problem. I started having salt again and this is a big concern for me now that my baby is older and really cares about what's on my plate (and wants to eat that of course).
The change had to come.
While I was thinking about it I red this post by Elisabeth and I was trully motivated! She joins the The Sexy Sugar Free Vegan Project and quits sugar!!!
How awesome is that? I decided to join too. But not just that, I'm quiting salt too! I'm super excited to see the changes in my body! Oh! And share more meals with my boy of course!
What do you think? Do you have any ideas to make your diet better in 2013?
Love & Peace
